Haramaya University Research and Extension
Haramaya University has been conducting research and technology exchange (extension) for over six decades. The research and extension office of the university has been in charge of coordinating the research and extension activities of the university.
Since its inception, the University has been actively involved in research activities, primarily in the field of agriculture. As a pioneer institution of agricultural teaching, research and extension in Ethiopia, Haramaya University has developed and released several improved crop varieties and many improved crop and livestock management practices. The institution has produced many textbooks, book chapters, research articles, bulletins, proceedings, posters and a number of M.Sc. thesis research reports.
Research Grant Management System (RGMS) is a web application developed for managing the overall activities of research grant applications starting from proposal submission to the final completion, is sponsored by the university. This web application is designed to handle varies activities carried out by different user catagories including researcher, reviewer, theme leader and DRGP personnel.
